TLC EXPLORATIONS APPLIES FOR DOMINICAN PERMIT - Thursday, August 28 2008

Management of TLC Explorations Inc. (TLCX) is pleased to announce that its partner in the Dominican Republic, Advandtel Dominicana S.A. has applied to the Dominican Republic Department of Mines for a drilling permit on the TLCX recently optioned "Majagual Concession" in order to conduct a 10 hole, 1000 metre drill program on the property. Drilling will be concentrated in the El Cinco Zone, to the north of the property.

The Majagual Concession is a 7,885 acre copper/gold prospect located approximately 35 kilometres west of the capital city of Santo Domingo, and contains a Cu and Au mineralization over an area of at least 600 x 800m that appears to be related to a quartz-feldspar porphyry body suggesting the presence of a porphyry copper deposit. Previous samples taken by geologist, Hugo Dominquez, from the El Cinco Zone yielded values ranging from <.002 to 27.6 g/t Au and 0.061 to 3.5% Cu.

Samples recently acquired from the El Cinco Zone, have been sent to Accurassay Laboratories located in Thunder Bay, Ontario for analysis and results are expected shortly.
